The Inn at South Harbour Village is conveniently located between the beautiful beaches of Oak Island and the historic community of Southport.  With numerous antique and specialty shops, a wide variety of local and international cuisine, and history that is rich and intriguing Southport is perfect spot to wile away the hours.  Southport is also the home of North Carolina’s largest July 4th Festival and Parade. Charter fishing excursions may be arranged with captains who depart from The South Harbour Marina located at the Inn.

Bald Head Island:

The tip of nearby Bald Head Island forms Cape Fear. A day trip to the island is a truly unique experience that you should not miss.  Home of Old Baldy, North Carolina’s oldest lighthouse, Bald Head Island is an oasis of natural beauty.  Thoughtfully planned development and the absence of automobiles are two key features tranquil island setting.

Bald Head Island can only be reached by ferry.  The ferry to Bald Head Island leaves Southport from The Marina at Indigo Plantation. Typically the ferry departs Indigo Plantation on the hour and departs Bald Head Island on the half hour.
